Resource Use
After discussing the various needs of wildlife, students play a few rounds of “Oh Deer” to learn about natural resource cycles and to understand the concept of equilibrium. This game is adaptable to comprehend many additional ecological concepts.

Resource Distribution
Students are confronted with the fragility of natural systems in the “Habitat Lap Sit,” and trace the origins of their food in “What’s for dinner?”

Adaptation
Evolution is the driving force of ecology, and students will discuss many of the ways the survival of the fittest manifests itself in nature. Then they will experiment with it themselves in the scientifically minded hide-and-go-seek variant “Camouflage.”
