Open Boating, an early-morning or half-class option allows students to explore our cove in canoes or row-boats, while observing a misty sunrise.

Visitors who opt for Animal Feeding or Barn Chores spend a relaxing morning caring for our menagerie, which can include horses, ponies, cows, oxen, sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys, ducks, and rabbits.

Nature Walk takes place on the miles of trails between the Center and the 1812 Homestead, and features explanations of forest life, land use history, and a visit to the marsh boardwalk overlooking Lond Pond.

In the winter months, students get the chance to try their hand at Ice-Fishing. We drill the holes and supply the bait, they try to tempt the fish to the surface.
