Yoga, Kayak and Gourmet Lunch
Saturday, September 18th 9:00 AM-2:00 PM
Cost: $30/person Ages 15 & Older Bring a Yoga mat

Join Michelle Maron, certified Kripalu Instructor from Lake Champlain Yoga Arts, for a yogic practice in the natural beauty of Pok-O helping you relax and renew, mixing elements of meditation to elevate the mind and breathing exercises to recharge your body. After yoga, we will use our rejuvenated hearts and loosened joints on a Kayak trip around Long Pond. And when we return to Pok-O, we will enjoy a gourmet lunch created by Suzie Trzaskos, owner of Flying Pancakes. Suzie strives to use local food from area farms in mindfully creating handmade meals. Yum!

Astronomy & Pizza Slam
Saturday, October 9th 6:30 PM-9:00 PM
Cost: $8, or $20 for a group of 3. All ages welcome.

Spend the evening star gazing and learning about the constellations in the sky, as well as the size of our solar system as we explain it to you with the use of a peppercorn! Finish the night with a Pizza Party where you make your own pizza. Bring your appetite!

Rock Talk and Walk
Saturday, October 16th 9:00 AM -2:00 PM
FREE. Presented by SUNY Plattsburgh professor, Ed Romanowicz. All ages welcome. Bring a bag lunch.

After a brief introduction to local geology, we will hike up Rattlesnake Mountain, examining rocks as we go and seeing signs that the glaciers were once here! We’ll enjoy our lunch at the summit of the mountain.

Haunted Homestead

Friday & Saturday, October 23 and 24  4-6 PM & 7-9 PM
Cost: $8/person OR $20 for a group of 3.

Bring your children for this special Homestead event. At dark on Friday and Saturday, the night turns scary when the Haunted Hayride and Haunted Hay Maze open for the older and braver. Facepainting, pumpkin painting, a fun hayride and stories for the younger crowd on Saturday night only. Proceeds go to The 1812 Homestead.

Underground Railroad

Friday November 12 6:30 PM- 9:00 PM
Cost: $5 per person. All ages welcome.

Share in one of our most popular living history courses. Experience what it was like to be a slave on the run in New York, trying to make it to freedom in Canada before being captured by bounty hunters. You’ll learn about famous abolitionists, the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850 and how to escape captors- all from the perspective of someone who was there!
