We love celebrating birthdays here at Poko! If a student’s birthday falls during a visit to the Center, we will happily provide a cake and candles, and a chance to sing “Happy Birthday” after dinner that evening in place of regular dessert. If the student’s birthday falls on the day the group leaves, we will make time for singing and cake at the end of lunch that day. Usually, we offer vanilla or chocolate cake with vanilla or chocolate icing. Other options, such as carrot cake or cheesecake, may be available for very special occasions with advance notice. There is no extra charge for birthday cakes. Please contact the chef in advance if you have any questions or birthday requests.
