Despite that animal feeding is, in essence, getting up before breakfast to perform barn chores, students always enjoy it. They may stand back and watch the animals, or can feel free to pet or hand-feed them. The activity usually starts by giving hay to our resident ponies, then proceeds to the 1812 Homestead to distribute “slop” to our charming pair of pigs and to feed and water the sheep and two cows, then wraps up by giving grain to our larger horses.
